ANGELA STERRITT: Angela is a grassroots organizer, artist and writer who belongs to the Gitxsan Nation of the Gitanmaax band in occupied “British Columbia”. She works with the Indigenous People’s Free Skool, the International Indigenous Youth Network and Native 2010 Resistance. In this extended interview, Angela addresses the legacy of native elder Harriet Nahanee, the colonial origins of the Olympics, direct actions against natives who are collaborating with the organization of the 2010 Olympics, the appropriation of art and culture, the use of art and culture as resistance, the support campaign for John Graham, and the current activities of Native 2010 Resistance.

Demain, l’État colonial canadien vraisemblablement se prononcera sur la demande de l’Empire sanguinaire américain d’extrader le révolutionnaire indien John Graham pour subir un procès pour le meurtre de sa camarade Anna Mae Aquash qui selon toute vraisemblance a plutôt été victime des manigances répressives et meurtrières du FBI. Nous verrons si le Canada agira encore comme partie prenante d’un impéralisme continental qui fut génocidaire et continue ses opérations de destruction contre les peuples les plus anciens de ce territoire. Continuons de lutter contre le capitalisme ainsi que le colonialisme et supportons nos camarades ! Free John Graham !
